Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

Sun River Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Bay Street Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner will work under the direction of a physician to plan, evaluate, and deliver healthcare services to patients. Emphasis will be placed on preventative health measures and patient education. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Takes patient histories, performs physical examinations, and provides patient education and counseling.
  • Orders lab work, draws blood for lab work, and performs some lab tests such as wet prep microscopic exams.
  • Prescribes treatment for minor illnesses and consults with physicians regarding medication, chronic illness, and referrals.
  • Maintains accurate and legible documentation and reviews records periodically.
  • Attends case conferences involving patients and participates in quality improvement programs.
  • Attends continuing education programs to increase skills and knowledge.
  • Identifies and categorizes patient needs based on age-specific grouping.
  • Follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
  • Provides safe and successful performance, meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (orally and written).
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Competence in delivering healthcare to patients.
  • Ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Salary Range:

$130,000 - $135,000 per year.
