Academic Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Tutor to join our team at StudentNest Inc.

About the Role

The Academic Tutor will provide high-quality tutoring services to K-8 students in Math and ELA, focusing on building students' academic skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring sessions to students in a supportive and engaging manner
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet students' needs
• Communicate regularly with parents and teachers to ensure student progress
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and resources

Requirements

• Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring experience
• Established proficiency in Math and ELA subject matter
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
• Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring
• Proof of insurance for your vehicle (if driving)
• Clear reference check and FBI/DOJ background check processes
• Negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
• Certification (if applicable)

What We Offer

• Competitive pay rate: $22 per hour standard, $23 per hour for bilingual tutors, and $24 per hour for credentialed teachers or certificated tutors
• Additional hours available for those working with our in-person school sites
• Gas reimbursement for multiple program work
