Job Title: Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a key member of our cardiac surgery team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiac surgery program.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat cardiac surgery patients through the pre-and post-operative period.
  • Examine and evaluate patients daily.
  • Review medications and radiology.
  • Order tests as appropriate.
  • Document all services rendered, including daily progress notes and event notes.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey (BSN).
  • CDS required.
  • DEA required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of cardiac surgery or critical care experience.
  • Experience with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement.
