Field Service Engineer Overview

We are in search of a proficient and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to enhance our vibrant workforce. The selected candidate will take charge of the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of integrated systems in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

  • Conduct regular maintenance and diagnostics on installed systems.
  • Identify and rectify any malfunctions to reduce downtime and ensure system efficiency.
  • Deliver on-site technical assistance and training to clients.
  • Foster robust customer relationships through effective communication and support.
  • Document all service activities, encompassing installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Create comprehensive service reports and relay findings to the Field Service Manager.
  • Maintain precise records of tools, equipment, and components utilized.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations while executing field service tasks.

Qualifications for the Field Service Engineer Position

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in field service engineering, ideally within the maritime or offshore sector.
  • Familiarity with navigation and communication systems (FCC License is highly advantageous).
  • Proficiencies include:
    • Propulsion systems
    • Electrical switchgear
    • Dynamic positioning technology
    • Information technology
    • Automation systems
