About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist I to join our team at the University Medical Center of El Paso. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of radiology procedures on patients of varying ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care needs during procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all patients.
- Assist in developing and monitoring department systems to enhance patient care quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Operate imaging equipment and perform procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Proficient in tasks within the practice scope of a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.
- Able to use computers for documentation purposes.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging within a hospital setting.
- Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) certification mandatory.
- ARRT (R) certification is necessary.
- CPR certification is also required.
- Completion of an Associate's degree in Applied Sciences in Radiology is a prerequisite for this role.
