The Job:

Our client, a leading provider of data solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support the ingestion of mission-critical data sets into a big data environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting cyber and/or network-related missions within the military space, as either a developer, analyst, or engineer.


The Must-Haves:

  • Current active secret clearance.
  • 9 years of total relevant experience, including:
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree, or industry experience equivalent.
  • Experience with Java.
  • Experience with Unit and Integration testing.
  • Fluency with data extraction, custom translation development, and loading, including data prep and labeling to enable data analytics.
  • Familiarity with various log formats, such as JSON, XML, and others.
  • Experience with data flow, management, and storage solutions, including Kafka, NiFi, and AWS S3 and SQS solutions.
  • Ability to decompose technical problems and troubleshoot both system and dataflow issues.
  • Willingness to participate in a programming challenge during the interview process.
