We are seeking a highly skilled RN Clinical Nurse Manager to join our OBGYN team at Physicians East.

As a RN Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care in the OBGYN department. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and maintain a safe and effective clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate clinical operations in the OBGYN department.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, supervisors, managers, administration, and physicians.
  • Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures consistent with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate the quality of care provided by staff through personal observation, competency testing, and feedback from physicians and patients.
  • Conduct performance evaluation appraisal conferences with direct clinical staff and communicate with them on a formal and informal basis.
  • Maintain records of direct assigned staff's performance, concerns, and requests for transfers.
  • Appoint, transfer, promote, and terminate clinical employees as deemed necessary.
  • Review and authorize outside continuing education for clinical employees.
  • Act as a liaison between other departments and outside agencies for Physicians East sponsored events.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Safety manager on MOCK inspections of each nursing area for OSHA hazards or violations.
  • Assist purchasing department with information for purchasing supplies and equipment.
  • Audit patient charts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and documentation guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure clinical staff licenses and requirements are up to date.
  • Assess clinical supplies in the departments regularly to ensure inventory controls are in place.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
  • Five years clinical experience plus three years healthcare/clinic management experience.
  • Must work well under pressure and have excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in electronic medical records (EMR/HER) software required.
  • Professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and interact professionally with others.
  • Ability to actively listen and observe and to draft a narrative account of events accurately and cogently.
