Join Our Team as a Mechanic I

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic I to join our team at StandardAero. As a Mechanic I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aviation repair and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate various hand tools to perform operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, and braze application.
  • Fits and assembles machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Complete check-in process, reviewing documentation and identifying the status of engine components.
  • De-stack and disassemble engine components and/or accessories, and record measurements and document with pictures as required.
  • Prepare parts for cleaning and repair, clean parts as required, and balance as needed.
  • Inspect parts to determine if they can be repaired or replaced, and route repairable parts to the appropriate area.
  • Place orders for required parts and ensure all necessary parts are available for assembly.
  • Assemble engine components and/or assemblies, and perform final release process, checking product for compliance.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical and/or aviation experience/aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
