Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adjunct Instructor to join our Continuing Education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching nursing courses to adult learners in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Teach nursing courses to adult learners in a clinical setting
  • Develop and implement training materials using instructional software (D2L helpful)
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
  • Active Licensed Practical Nursing License
  • Experience teaching diverse adults
  • Experience developing training materials
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of computer and technical competency
  • Knowledge of state standards and testing requirements for CNA and healthcare programs
  • Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of current Registered Nurse (RN) experience with experience providing instruction to Nursing Assistants
  • Current Basic Life Support card (American Heart Association)
  • Knowledge of Practical Nursing theory, skills, and clinical experience

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $37.50 and a part-time schedule that includes weekdays and evenings.
