Truck Driver CDL B Part Time Job Description

Ryder is seeking a Part Time Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Birmingham, AL. As a local home daily truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering touch donated goods within a 150-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
