About This Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Coach to join our team. As a Quality Improvement Coach, you will be responsible for delivering coaching services to improve the quality of our child care programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and engage child care providers to participate in quality improvement activities
  • Conduct onsite coaching visits to provide feedback and support
  • Model developmentally appropriate practices for participants
  • Provide information and resources on early education curricula
  • Maintain effective documentation on work activities
  • Facilitate networking opportunities among participants
  • Build connections with local colleges and universities
  • Assist providers with implementing professional development plans
  • Maintain current knowledge of child care assessment tools
  • Maintain current knowledge of QRIS systems and quality improvement efforts
  • Develop Quality Improvement Plans using SMART Goals
  • Provide coaching and technical assistance on ECE professional development opportunities
  • Enter data into Paylocity or specified database in a timely manner
  • Assist with preparing reports for funders
  • Frequently drive throughout San Gabriel Valley to provide onsite coaching
  • Participate in events during evenings or weekends
  • Attend community and other meetings
  • Participate in annual in-service training

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in child development or a related field
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in early child development, social work, psychology, public health, or a related field
  • Three years of experience in a child care setting
  • Experience working with adult learners
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality rating tools
  • Familiarity with QRIS systems and quality improvement efforts
  • Knowledge and understanding of child observation tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of ECE professional development systems
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Previous experience demonstrating effective decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience providing coaching to others, group facilitation, and professional development presentations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to be flexible and innovative
  • Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English
  • California driver's license and current automobile liability insurance
  • Command of Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese (preferred)
