Job Highlights

Epic Travel Staffing is looking for a Travel Mammography Technician
Shift: Days / 7:30a-2p (8x5) 40 hours per week

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited imaging technology training program
  • BLS certification
  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program with current ARRT certification in Radiography
  • ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with clinical experience documentation, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in Mammography
  • Preferred: Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies
Additional Qualifications:
  • First Time Travelers are welcome
  • Familiarity with Charting Software-eRad & PenRad
  • Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software, and eRad is preferred
  • Prior quality control experience is a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding medical terminology
The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and conducts various mammography-related diagnostic procedures. This role demands a high level of precision in positioning and exposure techniques. The technologist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care and efficient results, thereby influencing both the organization's profitability and the patient experience.
Mammography Skills / Procedures / Experience: Digital - Required, 3D - Required, Two years of experience in Mammography preferred. *Candidates with less than 2 years of experience and first-time travelers will be considered.
Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software, and eRad is preferred; Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred; Prior quality control experience is advantageous; Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology; Ability to stand for long periods.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • BLS certification
  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program with current ARRT certification in Radiography
  • ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with clinical experience documentation, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible
  • Must maintain current licensure in the state of practice
  • New applicants should expect a processing time for licensure.
