Responsibilities of the Caregiver:

  • Providing various personal care services tailored to meet the needs of clients or patients
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, including but not limited to: meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and engaging in outdoor activities
  • Supporting clients with mobility exercises as outlined in their care plans and documenting any observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements for the Caregiver:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of documented experience in caregiving or home care assistance
  • Professional licensure if applicable: CNA, HHA, LVN, or RN
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and LiveScan
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds as required by client mobility
