We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Universal Banker Trainee to join our team at Midland States Bank. As a key member of our banking center, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, building strong relationships, and driving sales growth.

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services, including deposit and lending solutions.
• Utilize needs-based questioning to identify customer needs and preferences, and make recommendations to meet those needs.
• Work closely with colleagues to achieve sales and production goals, and participate in team sales initiatives.
• Assist with basic deposit account openings and maintenance requests, and provide coaching and guidance to customers as needed.
• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of sales and customer service experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software applications.
