Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Accounting Department Management: Manage the accounting department, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate and oversee the annual budgeting process, including forecasting future financial needs and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Audit and Risk Management: Oversee the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion, and identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and implement systems for automating financial and reporting processes, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
