Position Overview:
The Principal Electrical Engineer will spearhead multi-disciplinary power generation initiatives, showcasing the capability to orchestrate project design responsibilities and teams. This role encompasses the formulation of project scope, preliminary design, and implementation strategies for the electrical components of various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing engineering cost estimates and timelines
  • Executing Project Management functions
  • Reporting to the Operations Director, Senior Project Manager, and President
  • Creating or overseeing the development of construction documentation for new installations or modifications to existing electrical systems in power generation facilities
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members
  • Engaging regularly with clients and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating departmental and divisional projects
  • Establishing equipment specifications, procurement, and conducting factory acceptance testing for electrical apparatus
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is mandatory
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in power generation, process facilities, and/or large industrial settings, particularly in the following design areas: medium voltage, low voltage, lighting, grounding, electrical control systems, protective relaying, and related design and construction oversight
  • Proficiency in design scope development, budget formulation, and project execution adhering to timelines and budget constraints
  • Familiarity with software tools such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, SmartPlant, SmartPlant Electrical, or similar applications is advantageous
  • Field construction and commissioning experience is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential
