Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast. As a key member of our psychiatric nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive treatment and support.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor medications, including psychotropic drugs, to patients with mental health conditions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Provide direct care to patients, including administering treatments, conducting therapies, and supporting patients with daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in emergency response teams, responding to psychiatric emergencies and providing crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements
  • Current registered nurse licensure in good standing.
  • A minimum of one year recent psychiatric nursing experience in a similar setting.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ACLS certification if working with patients on telemetry monitors.
