Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school district in Oregon, IL. As a contract SLP, you will work with students in 5 Life Skills classrooms, managing a caseload of up to 35 students. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians who enjoy 1:1 attention, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and the chance to instill a wide-ranging skillset in students.

Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
  • Present evaluation results and propose IEP goals at IEP meetings.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a student's progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders.
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid organization skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Illinois Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
  • Professionalism and accountability.
