Nurse Practitioner Per Diem Position

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine & Palliative Medicine. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
- Manage chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with the supervising/collaborating physician, physician designee(s) in the same clinical specialty, or the Administrative Manager to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the program and UCI Health System.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the program and UCI Health System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate medical information to a broad variety of people, both in person and over the telephone.
- Ability to obtain UCIMC Allied Health Professional Privileges prior to hire.
- Background Check and Live Scan.
