Position Overview:
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering specialized physical therapy services to children with a variety of disabilities. Your expertise in therapeutic exercises, understanding of developmental milestones, and knowledge of orthotic devices will be essential in providing effective care.

Key Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, although new graduates are welcome to apply.

Licensure:
Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in Washington, DC, or be in the process of obtaining licensure with the appropriate documentation.

  • Gather comprehensive patient history, including medical background and current concerns.
  • Identify evaluation needs and apply appropriate assessment techniques.
  • Choose relevant areas for assessment and interpret data accurately.
  • Utilize evaluation principles tailored to pediatric conditions.
  • Adjust assessment methods based on individual patient needs.
Treatment Development:
  • Leverage knowledge of various conditions to create effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish treatment priorities.
  • Formulate treatment strategies based on thorough analysis.
  • Set realistic short-term and long-term goals for patient progress.
  • Assist in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.

  • Adhere to all documentation policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive records of patient care.
Administrative Duties:
  • Timely completion of patient billing and scheduling tasks.
  • Maintain professional competencies and job requirements.
  • Contribute to departmental operations and initiatives as needed.

  • Promote a culture of safety by addressing unsafe practices.

  • Participate in team meetings and share knowledge with colleagues.
