Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Work with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or 2-year school and 1 year of experience.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Annual Inspector Certification.
  • Brake Inspector Certification.
  • ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
  • 609 HVAC Certification.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines. The associate will be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The associate may be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate.
