About the Job
The Food Safety Manager position requires a dedicated, hands-on professional who prioritizes quality, safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will set and achieve goals based on risk analysis, ensuring the highest standards of food safety are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement quality, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages, The Coca-Cola Company's North American Operating Unit, local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Develop and maintain stringent food safety quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production and warehouse processes, utilizing best practices from other partner Bottlers.
- Implement risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains, waste reduction, and cost savings, and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate and implement changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations, equipment additions, personnel changes, etc.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred (Business, Operations Management, Food Science, etc.).
