Job Description:
ProKatchers is seeking a travel nurse for a Labor and Delivery position in Sioux City, Iowa. As a travel nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as codes, and respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and patient outcomes, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
Requirements:
- Circulating experience is required, with scrub experience preferred.
- Multiple travel contracts completed is a plus.
- EPIC STORK experience is required, please note in your profile.
- High Risk experience is required.
- Experience within the previous year at larger high-volume delivery centers is preferred.
- High acuity experience is required.
- State License is required, with Iowa and Compact Allowed being the preferred licenses.
- BLS (AHA) or ARC, and ACLS (AHA) certifications are required.
- AWHONN and NRP certifications are a plus.
