About the Role

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist 2 to join our team in Danbury, Connecticut. As a Physical Therapist 2, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze patients to identify physical dysfunction or pain and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatment planning, utilizing appropriate interventions, procedures, and equipment.
  • Provide patient and family education and training to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities to ensure high-quality care.
  • Document patient information accurately and complete discharge planning.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
  • Act as a mentor to lower-level staff and participate in orienting, teaching, guiding, and evaluating assistive personnel.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements

  • Must have experience working with patients with neurological conditions.
  • Minimum experience: Bachelor's degree and minimum one year of experience.
  • Desired: Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification in inpatient rehab settings and CPR certification.

Work Environment

This position is located at Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Ave, Danbury, CT. The work schedule is variable, including weekend rotations, and the standard hours are 2.00. The exempt status is No, and the grade is S11. The salary range is $65.01 hourly.

Credentials

  • Essential: Physical Therapist.
  • Education: Essential: Bachelor's Level Degree.

Working Conditions

  • Essential: Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity, significant occupational risk, very heavy effort (exerting up to 50 lbs. force), and some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
