Machinist Fabrication Specialist

DXP Enterprises is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. This role will involve working in a shop environment, utilizing manual and semi-automated tools and machines to fabricate parts.

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

• Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output and plan the sequence of necessary actions for completion.
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping, select appropriate machines, and position or load material for a job.
• Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine, monitor machine while working, and adjust the feed, maintain temperature, and identify issues.
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects, keep records of approved and defective units or final products.

• Experience as a manual machinist preferred, with knowledge of lathes, grinders, boring mills, horizontal mills, and vertical mills.
• Ability to use precision tools, read blueprints, schematics, and manuals, and good analytical skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent, completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
