Job Description

At Desert Corral LLC dba Golden Corral, we're seeking a skilled Food Prep Person to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing fresh fruits and vegetables to the highest standards, ensuring the quality and presentation of our products meet our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare prep items according to Golden Corral product specifications and recipes.
  • Maintain a standard inventory of prep items and update the Prep Production Guide as directed by management.
  • Ensure optimum yield of products through the product cycle.
  • Label, date, and rotate all bulk produce and prepped items.
  • Ensure all food items are in approved, covered storage containers.
  • Complete use and following of the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance.
  • Notify the Manager of any discrepancies, such as food spoilage, invoice errors, excessive waste, or products that do not meet specifications.
  • Assist the Buffet Attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet.
Cleanliness and Guest Service:
  • Clean, maintain, and organize the prep area, including coolers, equipment, and dry storage.
  • Perform duty roster and ensure cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.
  • Know and follow position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery.
  • Follow local health department laws.
  • Perform administrative tasks and help guests during meal periods.
