Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include planning, overseeing, and aiding your designated group of children with their daily activities and needs. This encompasses helping children prepare for their day, ensuring personal hygiene, assisting with homework, engaging in recreational activities, and following treatment plans established by the care team. You will also be responsible for transporting children to school, appointments, and social events using company-provided vehicles.
Compensation: Starting at $15 per hour
Work Schedule: Minimum of 40 hours per week - Flexible, family-friendly hours

Essential Duties Include:
- Providing direct supervision and support to a group of children, many of whom may be facing emotional challenges
- Planning, supervising, and assisting with daily activities, including meals, hygiene, personal belongings, and homework, while adhering to treatment plans
- Transporting children to school, appointments, and recreational activities using company vehicles
- Creating a safe, stable, and homelike atmosphere
- Building positive relationships with children to support their healing and development
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation
- Completing required training as mandated by state regulations
- Adhering to the New Horizons Philosophy and Employee Handbook
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Successful completion of background checks, drug screening, and tuberculosis testing
- A valid driver's license is necessary
- Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, with the ability to work with various populations
- Capability to manage conflict resolution and crisis intervention
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
