Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families in a medical surgical unit.
  • Assist with vital signs, bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
  • Float between units as needed to support patient care and staffing needs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required by the unit.
  • Work weekends as needed, with every other weekend as a regular requirement.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
