Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled critical care nurse to join their team in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description:

This is a travel nursing position in the MedSurg unit, requiring a highly motivated and experienced nurse to provide exceptional patient care. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients with complex medical conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Monitoring and Assessment:
    • Continuously assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition to identify potential issues.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Medication Management:
    • Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely, ensuring proper dosing and administration techniques.
    • Monitor patients for medication side effects and adverse reactions, reporting concerns to the physician or healthcare team promptly.
  • Cardiac Monitoring and Telemetry:
    • Use telemetry units to monitor heart rate, rhythm, and overall cardiac health, documenting any irregularities.
    • Assist in interpreting telemetry readings, ensuring prompt intervention for abnormal findings such as arrhythmias or tachycardia.
  • Patient Education and Support:
    • Educate patients and their families on disease management, including medication regimens and lifestyle modifications.
    • Provide guidance on managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to implement and adjust patient care plans.
    • Participate in daily rounds to discuss patient progress and treatment adjustments.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this critical care nursing opportunity, you must possess:

  • A current RN license and BSN degree.
  • Experience working in a MedSurg or critical care setting, with expertise in telemetry monitoring and cardiac care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this travel nursing position is estimated at $120,000 per year, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. A tax-free stipend will be provided, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
