**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum in Westerville, OH. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team in dispensing medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates effectively with strong professional verbal and written communication skills

Requirements:

  • Active and Unrestricted Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Ohio
  • 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
  • Ability to use own's vehicle to travel to different sites when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
