**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum in Westerville, OH. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team in dispensing medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
- Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
- Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
- Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
- Works with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
- Communicates effectively with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Requirements:
- Active and Unrestricted Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Ohio
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
- Ability to use own's vehicle to travel to different sites when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
