Job Summary

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing website and projects using technologies such as Django.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with developers and project leaders to ensure code quality and design fidelity
  • Assist front-end developers with template integration
  • Integrate content and services from 3rd parties using APIs
  • Estimating projects based on initial scope
  • Define project technical requirements
  • Design and implement website and projects using technologies such as Django

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of FIVE (5) years of engineering experience with a proven track record of building consumer web applications or services
  • Strong Skills in Python (Django) and responsive front-end design (Bootstrap, USWDS, etc.)
  • Experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS)
  • Experience in DevOps practices and tools
  • Self-motivated and accountable
  • Proficiency with databases Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, PostgreSQL
  • High attention to detail to maintain design integrity throughout the build process
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to clearly and professionally interact with clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Maps API and for data visualization and mapping applications
  • Skills in Perl
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of deployment frameworks
  • Experience with responsive design
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
  • Unix/Linux experience
