Position Overview - Junior Transportation Design Engineer
Your Contribution:
At Jacobs Engineering Group Inc, we are dedicated to enhancing communities and fostering sustainable urban development. As a Junior Transportation Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to improve infrastructure and transportation systems.
Located in a dynamic environment, you will engage in a variety of large-scale infrastructure initiatives, applying your academic knowledge to real-world transportation projects. Your previous internship experiences will be invaluable as you assist in various design tasks, contributing to project development from initial concepts to final designs for transit and rail systems.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Relevant coursework in transportation engineering
- Prior experience in design internships
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational abilities
- Team-oriented mindset for developing engineering drawings and documentation
Preferred Skills:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it within six months
- Familiarity with CADD/Design software (such as Microstation/Inroads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D)
- Ability to reference and utilize design manuals as necessary
