Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Social Work. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service to the university and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in social work, including Social Work Research, Practice, Policy, and Helping Processes
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Advise students and provide guidance on academic and career goals
  • Contribute to the development of the social work program and department
  • Engage in scholarly activity and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Participate in service to the university and community, including committee work and community outreach

Requirements:

  • MSW in Social Work with teaching experience and two years post-MSW practical experience
  • Preference given to applicants with a doctoral degree and online teaching experience
  • Applicants with teaching and scholarly experiences that align with the Methodist University commitment to fostering equity and inclusion in all our university practices are highly desirable
