Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administer medication and monitor patient medication regimens.
  2. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individual support plans.
  3. Lead staff on shifts and oversee direct support professionals and certified nursing assistants.
  4. Provide active programming and support to clients at all times.
  5. Assist with crisis management procedures as needed.
  6. Support clients during vocational training and engage in job duties alongside them.
  7. Adhere to standards, procedures, and schedules established by supervisors.
  8. Observe patients, chart changes in conditions, and take necessary action.
  9. Evaluate medical concerns and direct patients to emergency medical care when required.
  10. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to assess patient needs, plan care, and implement interventions.
  11. Assist RNs in overseeing patients and facilitate educational groups on health and medication management.
  12. Provide monitoring and supervision of patients to support non-clinical staff.
  13. Transport clients in company vehicles or personal vehicles to and from programs and scheduled activities.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  2. Hold a current California Driver's license and insurance, with a clean DMV driving record.
  3. Complete pre-employment physical and drug screen, including current TB.
  4. Pass DOJ and FBI background checks.
  5. Complete all required trainings, including PCM, DSP1, and DSP2.
  6. Be willing to work with individuals with diverse symptoms related to mental health and developmental disabilities.
  7. Have one year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
  8. Maintain all certifications up to date.
  9. Exhibit initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to drive company and/or personal vehicles for work, including transporting clients to and from work and/or appointments as needed.
  2. Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  3. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
