Our client, a dynamic company in the biotech industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to support their accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The position requires 3 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts such as cash, investments, prepaids, AP, leases, and accruals.
- Manage the expense reporting system and process.
- Process weekly check runs and support the procure-to-pay process.
- Assist with special projects and system implementations, driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Develop, expand, and refine existing internal control processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Assist in external audits, including gathering audit requests and responding to inquiries from the audit team.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, CPA strongly preferred.
- At least three years of relevant industry accounting experience, with a preference for public company and/or public accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, NetSuite, and Coupa.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide innovative solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Virtual depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Virtual believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $111K - $140k per year.", "lang_code": "en-US"}
