Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at RQ Construction. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all mechanical construction activities, mechanical superintendents, and subcontractors on a project jobsite to safely produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct mechanical construction activities, mechanical superintendents, and subcontractors on a project jobsite.
  • Ensure quality work is produced within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Assist the Pre-Construction Manager as required with other scopes of work.
  • Travel to on-site project management locations on base installations.
Requirements
  • A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
  • Courses in project management, construction management, mechanical trade school, BIM, and CADD are preferred.
  • Five or more years of work experience as a Mechanical Project Manager responsible for numerous projects and sizes of at least $5,000,000 (commercial or industrial) are required.
  • Five or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience with mechanical systems are highly desirable.
  • Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Primavera P6) is preferred.
  • Specific software literacy (BIM) is preferred.
