The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Wound Care is tasked with the comprehensive assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient conditions, implementing and documenting appropriate nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Conduct various patient tests and administer medications within the RN's scope of practice.
- Foster patient independence by setting care objectives and educating patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Utilize clinical experience and critical thinking to achieve patient care goals, demonstrating creativity and flexibility in nursing practices.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum: 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Preferred: 2-4 years of relevant nursing experience.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current/Active Florida Registered Nurse License (RN) or an Approved Multi-State License.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Educational background: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree.
