Forensic Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Structural Engineer to join our team at The Mason Group. This role focuses on investigating structural failures and assessing damage to buildings and infrastructure.

• Conduct detailed inspections and investigations of structural failures, damage, and defects in buildings and infrastructure.
• Perform thorough site assessments to identify potential causes of structural issues and collect relevant evidence.
• Analyze structural systems and failure mechanisms using engineering principles and forensic techniques.
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for repair or remediation.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and legal teams to provide expert opinions and testimony in legal proceedings related to structural failures.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certification in forensic engineering would be a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus and/or an interest in forensic analysis and investigation.
• Licenses/Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Additional certifications in forensic engineering or related areas are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
