Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for a specific group of individuals.

3. Safeguard patients and staff by following infection control protocols, medication administration guidelines, and substance regulations.

4. Document all patient care activities accurately in departmental records.

5. Foster continuity of care by effectively communicating with nursing teams regarding patient needs and actions taken.

6. Establish a supportive environment for patients and their families by providing emotional and psychological assistance.

7. Encourage patient independence through education on their conditions, medications, and self-care practices.

8. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by adhering to safety protocols and seeking assistance when necessary.

9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address patient issues and enhance care delivery.

10. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts within the team.

Qualifications

Required:

- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program.

- Strong leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

- Effective communication abilities to convey complex information to diverse audiences.

- A refresher course may be necessary for those not having worked in acute care for the past three years.

Preferred:

- At least one year of experience in medical/surgical, PCU, or critical care settings.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Licensure and Certifications

- Current RN licensure in the relevant state.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or completion within one year of hire.

- NIH Stroke Scale certification or completion within six months of hire.

- Required clearances as per state regulations.

Work Environment

This position may require flexible scheduling based on operational needs, including rotating shifts and on-call duties.
