This position involves developing and maintaining cooperative relationships with K-12 institutions, the Maricopa Community College District, and non-traditional partners to advance the mission and goals of Glendale Community College in relation to admissions, enrollment, and retention. You will also be responsible for managing, scheduling, organizing, and attending student recruitment events, such as application workshops, college presentations, campus tours, and tabling events at local high schools, community partners, businesses, and other non-traditional audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with K-12 institutions, the Maricopa Community College District, and non-traditional partners.
  • Manage, schedule, organize, and attend student recruitment events.
  • Market the college by disseminating college materials, offering advisement to the college admissions process, and providing college resource information.
  • Support prospective students in troubleshooting complex issues related to the student admissions process.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in student services or college teaching, or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel within MCCCD locations and within Maricopa County, with occasional overnight stays required.
