The Asset Protection Specialist position will be utilized to maintain all asset protection responsibilities within multiple retail locations. This role is a key player in providing physical security, loss prevention, inventory management, and operational control effectiveness. The Asset Protection Specialist will work across all store shifts and cover all control functions for regular oversight activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage security and shrink performance to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Control physical security of retail locations, including CCTV monitoring and access control.
  • Structure shiftwork to cover all critical control activities, including inventory management and loss prevention.
  • Perform core security and loss avoidance tasks, including suspicious activity review, report and response execution, and high-volume self-checkout exception monitoring.
  • Support the development and implementation of audit systems to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships with local law enforcement and collaborate on investigations and security initiatives.
  • Design and implement shrink reduction strategies, including inventory management and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Co-lead store shrink committees with store leadership to enforce shrink management accountability and performance.
  • Identify and investigate suspicious activity, including team member, customer, and vendor activity.
  • Analyze emergency response systems and assist in full execution.
