Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurosurgeon to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives in Kearney, Nebraska. As a Neurosurgeon with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and provide exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including brain and spinal tumors, peripheral nerve compression, and trauma.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, working closely with our interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, using the latest diagnostic techniques and technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise medical information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, and perform procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation and provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices, participating in ongoing medical education and training.
Requirements
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
