Job Summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med Surg department. As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our registered nurses to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and start intravenous fluids, accurately documenting patient information.
  • Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in conditions, and take necessary actions to ensure patient safety.
  • Provide direct and individualized care to patients, including vital sign measurements and basic patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
  • Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and confer with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved LPN program and successful completion of the NCLEX-PN.
  • Current NV LPN license and American Heart Association BLS (or CPR program) certification upon hire.
  • IV Certification preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year working in an acute hospital setting preferred.
