Culinary Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Aperion Care Morton Villa. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in accordance with established standards and guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Review menus and prepare food in accordance with dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist in developing and implementing food service policies and procedures.
• Coordinate food services with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Work with the facility's dietitian to implement recommended changes and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Ensure that all food service procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

**Requirements:**

• One year of dietary/food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred.
• State Food Service Sanitation certification required.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English in an understandable manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Physical Demands:**

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet.
• Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability.
