Job Title: Project Surveyor

Are you a skilled surveyor with a passion for topographic and design surveying? Do you have a strong background in surveying and mapping? We are seeking a highly experienced Project Surveyor to join our team at CyberCoders.

Job Summary:

The Project Surveyor will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and managing projects that involve a range of assignments requiring knowledge of surveying and mapping. This includes writing legal descriptions, drafting plats and surveys, resolving boundary issues, cost estimating for project proposals, and managing survey projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete technical mapping and final drawings for agency submittals and specifications for approval
  • Conduct research and analysis, title reports, ROW/E, Land Title Surveys, topography, and mapping
  • Perform boundary calculations, analysis, and field support calculations
  • Read, research, and interpret deeds and maps
  • Perform boundary analysis and determinations
  • Draft legal descriptions and prepare easements, plats, and surveys
  • Manage project budget and report project results to management as directed
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization on an ongoing basis but no less than monthly and at project completion
  • Assure project legal documents are completed and signed
  • Manage project scope and modify pricing and agreements, as applicable due to scope changes. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
Qualifications:
  • West Virginia State Surveyor Licensure is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in topographic surveys, design surveys, land survey plats, subdivision plats, Land Title Surveys, and construction surveying
  • Knowledge of common boundary establishment methods and analysis
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Carlson Survey is a must
  • GIS experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Must be able to cultivate and develop client relationships, work independently, possess the ability to manage projects, and have strong written and oral communications
