The Outbound Logistics Coordinator position serves as a vital support role within the logistics department, specifically aimed at facilitating outbound operations. This position entails providing semi-complex clerical assistance to materials management, including data entry, document organization, and responding to inquiries related to shipping instructions and packing lists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist floor personnel with RF and shipping-related issues.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Customer Service, including managing communications through various channels.
  • Oversee the overall workflow of the office, including carrier scheduling, updating incoming shipments, and expediting requests as necessary.
  • Manage customer service communication platforms.
  • Ensure proper filing of Bills of Lading and shipping documentation.
  • Execute desktop adjustments to support inventory accuracy on behalf of the department.

Performance and Productivity

  • Continuously monitor your work performance to foster a sense of pride and urgency.
  • Provide constructive feedback to supervisors and managers regarding daily operations.
  • Become knowledgeable about key performance metrics and understand how you will be evaluated.
  • Demonstrate leadership within your work area and maintain high production standards.
  • Communicate directions clearly and follow up as needed.
  • Identify and address inefficient or counterproductive processes.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a large distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Understanding of order management and selection processes.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Lean certification, particularly in Kaizen or 5S methodologies.
  • Advanced experience with SAP systems.
