POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the 'Senior Manager, Surveillance & Security', the Security Officer (Full-Time) is tasked with overseeing all security operations during events and non-event times. Key responsibilities include engaging with AEG staff, guests, external vendors, contractors, and visitors; monitoring security systems; managing incoming calls and information requests; and regulating access to the facility while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Available Shift: 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts routine patrols and security checks as assigned.
  • Performs safety inspections of equipment (AEDs, fire alarms, emergency gear, etc.).
  • Grants access to staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests in accordance with established protocols.
  • Handles phone inquiries and information requests from staff and guests during non-operator hours and as necessary.
  • Safeguards AEG equipment, materials, and facilities throughout the work schedule.
  • Provides ongoing security services within the venue and surrounding areas before, during, and after events.
  • Coordinates deliveries from external vendors and AEG personnel.
  • Manages lost and found items in compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Conducts safety inspections and reports any violations.
  • Distributes paychecks, ID badges, mail, etc.
  • Monitors the CCTV system, responds to alarms, and dispatches personnel as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Security Director, Manager, and Sergeants.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Availability to work from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on weekdays and weekends as scheduled. Hours may vary.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Previous experience in security is preferred but not mandatory.
  • OPOTA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be available to work any day of the week and weekends as required.
  • High level of professionalism is essential.
  • Punctuality, dependability, and respectfulness are required at all times while on duty.
