About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at BlueOval SK. As a key member of our start-up team, you will be responsible for launching our facility from the ground up and helping us lead the transformation of the electric vehicle (EV) battery business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize current production processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Coach plants in continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts to drive excellence in manufacturing
  • Assist plants in addressing equipment downtime issues and develop preventative/predictive industrial maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime
  • Oversee PM programs for battery manufacturing equipment and assist in equipment spare part management
  • Provide input on new equipment design and purchase and support new model/equipment launch as required

Requirements:

  • Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause
  • Excellent communication skills to train both hourly and salary team members
  • Self-starter who can take ownership of projects and see them through to completion with limited supervision
  • Flexibility to significant travel and support any shift in a 7-day work pattern

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial or Electrical/Automation engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, stamping experience preferred
  • Robot/interpress transfer (ABB/Fanuc/Gudel), stamping/press equipment, vision experience strongly preferred (Cognex), PLC competency, lean implementation, and AutoCAD
