Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Job Opportunity

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse for a travel nursing assignment in a reputable hospital in Morristown, New Jersey.

Job Requirements:
  • Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assessment skills: Conduct thorough assessments, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate, to deliver patient care appropriately.
  2. Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills, perform direct patient care activities, and provide nursing care to the population of the unit.
  3. Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, demonstrate knowledge of documentation guidelines, and assume primary responsibility for documenting patient's progress.
  4. Professionalism: Demonstrate professional practice responsibility, knowledge of policies and procedures, and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
  5. Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients' and families' needs in a professional, courteous, and positive manner, promoting an environment where patients and families are at the center.
  6. Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, use safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
  7. Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment encountered for surgical patients, individualize patient care, and assess patient reaction and understanding.
  8. Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team by assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care, prioritizing care based on patient needs and changes in condition.
  9. Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedure/instructions, actively include patients and family members in teaching, and perform pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
Physical Requirements:
  • As defined by Occupation Safety/OMS
  • 1 year experience
  • PALS - Required
  • BLS - Required
  • RN License - Required

Tact Medical Staffing Job ID. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
