As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodations. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
2. Prepare and transport housekeeping carts to designated areas.
3. Ensure guest rooms are accessed following proper procedures, confirming vacancy before entry.
4. Restock guest amenities and supplies in each room.
5. Replace soiled linens and towels with fresh items.
6. Make beds and arrange towels neatly.
7. Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly.
8. Dispose of trash, soiled linens, and room service items appropriately.
9. Verify that all appliances in the room are present and functioning.
10. Organize desk items, furniture, and appliances for a tidy appearance.
11. Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
12. Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.
Safety and Professionalism:
Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents promptly. Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information.
Guest Interaction:
Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards. Anticipate and address guests' service needs, providing assistance to individuals with disabilities as necessary. Express genuine appreciation to guests.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members using clear and professional language. Support your colleagues in achieving shared goals and uphold quality expectations and standards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with assistance. Capable of pushing and pulling loaded carts over various surfaces. Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout the work shift. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are essential for handling various objects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Related Work Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary.
Supervisory Experience: Not required.
License or Certification: None needed.
